Saying Goodbye at Home

As pets get older they may need an increased level of care. Some older pets may need hospice care assistance to keep them comfortable. As their life, or conditions, progress to where the quality of life declines, the time will come to make an end of life decision. We strive to be there to help you through every step of this process. Our goal is to make your pets comfortable so that they may enjoy a good quality of life longer, and when the time comes, we will be there to facilitate whatever the next step may be and answer any questions you may have.

We will do a thorough exam and discuss any concerns or options for treatment, even those options we do not directly offer. If you decide on euthanasia, the procedure provides the maximum level of comfort possible. Many owners find that it is easier to allow their pets to pass with assistance in the comfort of their own home, eliminating the anxiety and stressed of travel and the veterinary hospital visit.

The comfort of home offers a much more private and relaxing environment for you and your pet. If this option is chosen, a sedative would be given to help your pet relax and make them more comfortable. Next a solution is given that puts your pet to sleep and then helps them peacefully pass. An in home euthanasia offers your pet and you a more intimate and relaxed way to say goodbye.

Through the Pet Loss Center we offer private and communal cremations. You may also consider a home burial, but please be sure to check your local ordinances prior to making arrangements.
